If your phone is stolen and our Mobile App is installed on it, your data should be safe, as any thief will also need your fingerprint or log in details in order to access your account. If your phone needs a PIN or fingerprint to unlock it, this will also provide an additional level of security.
However, if your phone is not secured by a PIN or fingerprint, a thief could potentially use our SMS services to find out your member number, account balances and other basic information. This, along with other personal details that they might have managed to find out, could put your account at risk.
To be safe, if your phone is stolen, you should phone us as soon as you can on 020 3773 1751. Our Team will be able to block your phone from using the Mobile App and change the mobile phone number on your account so that your phone's thief will no longer receive SMS messages regarding your account.
