As a credit union, we're based on the principle of membership. This means that before you can apply for a loan or any other services, you'll need to become a member.
Applying online is simple, and shouldn't take more than 10 minutes.
For loans, we'll ask you whether or not you are a member before you start the application process. If you are not a member already, we'll set up your membership at the same time as you apply for a loan.
Unfortunately, not everyone can become a member. By law, you need to be part of one of the communities we serve (known as our ‘common bond’), which includes the London Boroughs of Southwark, Lambeth, Westminster and Camden, as well as all members of the UK armed forces and their families.
Membership of London Mutual Credit Union is open to:
Anyone living or working in the London Boroughs of Southwark, Lambeth Westminster or Camden
Employed in Health or Education anywhere in Greater London
Members of the armed forces, the reserves or in receipt of a MOD pension
- Worshippers at the New Testament Church of God
- Family members who live at the same address as a current member
